More than 64 lakh mobile users switched their operator and join other operators. This stats from when Mobile Number Portability (MNP) started and till end of 31st March 2011. This means more than 64 lakh customer ware not satisfied with the service of their operator and finally they decided to give a chance to other one.As reported by Telecomtalk, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka and Rajasthan telecom circles has the highest number of mobile service subscribers willing to change their current operators through Mobile Number Portability. As per the data reported by the service providers, by the end of March 2011 about 64.23 lakh subscribers have submitted their requests to different service providers for porting their mobile number.
The Gujarat circle was in top with around 6.17 lakh mobile subscribers requested for MNP to switch to other operator while 5.49 lakh in Rajasthan, 5.29 lakh in Karnataka, 4.40 lakh in Maharashtra & Goa, 4.33 lakh in Haryana circle, 3.16 Uttar Pradesh East and 3.74 in Uttar Pradesh West.
